Yes, there was a reason other than conscience for him to do it – HE GOT CAUGHT! Had he not gotten caught we still wouldn’t know about it AND he would never had paid back the money he spent visiting her on the 1st trip.
He’d still be preaching family values and fiscal responsibility, in a state with the 3rd highest unemployment and some of the worst schools in the U.S, while drawing one of the highest salaries in the state.
